The children enjoyed dressing up for World Book Day and telling us about their favourite book.
Our younger children got a chance to participate in a 'Storytelling and Draw-a-Long' live online workshop. They were taught how to draw rabbits by David Litchfield, the award-winning illustrator of 'The Velveteen Rabbit'.
P4/5 also participated in a live lesson, to highlight the joy of reading for pleasure.
P6/7 looked a range of Greek Myths and drew cartoons of the characters they read about.
It's been a busy week for books and reading in school, as we also took part in the
Mid and East Antrim Borough Council Democracy Day. The children voted for their favourite local author. We look forward to hearing the results.
