We were delighted to be joined by Beth and Beverley from
Walk Wheel Cycle Trust Northern Ireland, who had come to launch our 'Fit Fridays' for the month of June and also to present us with our School Mark Excellence in Sustainable Travel Gold Award. We are absolutely delighted to have received this award, as Beth was able to tell us that less than 40 schools in N. Ireland have achieved it. In addition to our plaque and certificate, we received a £25 voucher for Decathlon. We added this to the £50 voucher that we had already been given, for being first in our district in the Big Walk and Wheel. Along with the profits from our school Tuck Shop we were able to purchase some wonderful playground equipment, which the children used today for 'Fit Friday'. We would like to thank Miss Mullan for all her hard work in leading this initiative and enabling us to obtain this top award. Well done everyone!
